2026 KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Erik Bruhnke
Erik Bruhnke is a professional birding guide for Victor Emanuel Nature Tours (VENT) who has travelled the world from Alaska to South America in search of birds. A Wisconsin native, he graduated from Northland College in Ashland in 2008, later working various field positions at such famed birding sites as Duluth’s Hawk Ridge, Corpus Christi in Texas, and Capy May, New Jersey. Erik has written for BirdWatching magazine and Bird Watcher’s Digest, won national awards for his photography, and presents frequently at North American festivals, including the renowned Biggest Week in American Birding in Ohio. In addition to his deep field-based expertise on birds, Erik is highly esteemed in the birding community as one of the nicest and happiest humans on earth!

We strongly recommend watching the tutorial videos we’ll provide closer to registration time. These videos will guide you through the online registration process and help ensure a smooth experience.
